Baby Corn Manchurian

Baby Corn Manchurian

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings)
12 peice Baby corn slit vertically (boiled)
4 tbls Maida
2 tbls Corn flour
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp Red chilli powder   
Salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying

Other Ingredients

1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 medium size Onion (chopped in lenght wise))
1 Capsicum (cut in 1/2 inch cubes)
2 Green chillies (slit lengthwise)
1/2 cup Spring onion (chopped)
1 tsp Pepper powder       
1 tsp Chilli sauce             
2 tsp Soya sauce              
1 tsp Corn flour (dissolved in 1/4 cup water)
Salt as per taste

Method (How to make baby corn manchurian at home)

Mix maida, corn flour, salt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic pate and the mix sufficient water, to make thick batter. Add boiled baby corn to the batter and cover with the paste. baby corn should be coated well with the batter.
Heat oil in wok and deep fry till golden brown and keep aside.

Heat oil in non stick pan, add ginger garlic paste followed by onion, green chillies and fry till onion turns transparent and then add capsicum and fry for a minute.
Add the sauces, salt, pepper powder and fry for a minute in high flame. Now add the corn flour dissolved in water and shimmer for few minuts. Add the fried baby corn and spring onion and mix well and stir continusly, till baby corns covered in this sauce evenly. Switch off the gas.
Baby corn manchurian is ready serve hot with fried rice or noddles.

Missi Roti



Missi Roti

Ingredients (for 5-6 roti)
1 cup Gram flour             
1/2 cup Wheat flour        
2 tsp Ginger (grated)
1 tsp Garlic (grated)        
1 Green chilli (finally chopped)      1
1/2 tsp Fresh Pepper powder
1 medium Onion  (finally chopped)           
1 tsp Jeera         
1 tsp Amchoor powder
2 pinches Asafoetida
1 tbls Coriander leaves, (finally chopped)   
2 tbls Oil           
Salt as per taste
Ghee or Oil for frying

Method (How to make missi roti at home)
Sieve the Gram flour and wheat flour together in a big bowl to get rid of small lumps. Mix all the ingredients.
Add required water and make a stiff dough. Keep covered for 15 -30 minutes.
Knead again to make the dough smooth and divide into 5 equal sized balls.
Roll out into slightly thicker than usual roti with using dry flour.
Cook over hot tawa with oil or ghee smeared on both sides, until golden brown spots appear.   
Serve hot with  any gravy, dal or raita.

Vegetable Pizza recipe



Vegetable Pizza recipe
Ingredients
for  pizza base
1 1/2  cup maida
1 tbls active dry yeast (or 1 tsp instant yeast)
1/4 cup  Milk (warm)       
1/2 cup Water  (warm)    
1/8 cup oil
3/4 tsp Salt          
1 1/2 tsp Sugar

For topping
1/2 cup Pizza cheese
1 cup Onion, tomato, capsicum, paneer
2 tbls Pizza sauce            


Method (How to make pizza at home)

Mix dry yeast and sugar with half cup warm water and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Now mix  flour, salt and yeast in a  bowl and add milk and olive oil to the flour and make a smooth dough. Knead for 5 minutes. Keep aside for 2 hours covered with a cling wrap. Preferably in a warm place.
After 2 hour, the dough would have doubled and risen.
Knead again the dough smoothly and in a well floured surface, roll out into thick pizza  Just make the sides like a rim. Transfer this to a well greased pizza plate and sprinkled with some flour
Preheat the oven to 200 deg.C.
Spread pizza sauce inside the rim and spread some half of the grated cheese,    Arrange the toppings over it and cover with the remaining grated cheese.   
Bake for 14 - 15 minutes in a preheated oven until the cheese melts and pizza turns golden in colour.
The pizza should move freely in the pan if cooked.
Serve hot.
